Elite were founded at the end of the 1970s as builders of rollers for bike training and bike racks for cars. The company entered the bicycle market as a one with the ability to interpret the needs of the bicycle market sector by creating modern and original products. In 1984, Elite was the first company in Europe to create and produce a roller with a posterior supporting stand, putting a milestone on the road of the development of this component.
The bottle holder "Macan", which was introduced in 1987, revolutionised the basic concept of this accessory, with the introduction of new elements like for example the plastic covered head, to hold the bottle in place more firmly, or like the adjustable runners for the screws which fix things to the frame. Little by little, thanks to this continuous feeling for innovation and research, the company has continued to grow and introduce new technologies to the world of cycling.
