The ORTLIEB Velocity is a messenger-style daypack with IP64 rated waterproof roll closure is a smaller version of the original ORTLIEB Messenger-Bag, now just the right size for transporting school stuff or documents to and from work. Featuring a removable internal zippered pocket, a padded foam back, anatomically shaped shoulder straps with chest and waist strap, and a carrying handle.

    Delivery

    Delivery is FREE to customers in Mainland UK on orders over £25 (excl. bikes and orders being delivered to your nearest DPD Pickup location). We aim to dispatch all in-stock accessory orders when using DPD services made before 15:30 during weekdays and for our economy delivery services we aim to ship within one working day of placing the order, all our services are fully tracked, and we'll email you any tracking details shortly after we dispatch any order.

    Customers located in the Scottish Highlands, Northern Ireland and other offshore isles may possibly be surcharged for delivery depending on what is being ordered, the majority of our products can be shipped using our economy Royal Mail Economy service which is FREE throughout the whole of the United Kingdom on orders over £25, however if a courier is required because item too large, heavy or contains a restricted item such as an aerosols then surcharges will apply.

    DPD Local Predict

    All our domestic DPD Local services support DPD Predict and Follow My Parcel so you can find out exactly where your order is and approximately when it will be delivered.

    On the morning of delivery, you will receive either an email or text message from DPD with the name of your driver and an hour slot for delivery.

    The majority of our DPD Local services also support 'In-Flight' options such as;

    • Select an alternative delivery date
    • Opt for delivery to a nominated neighbour
    • Have the parcel left in a specified safe place
    • Collect the parcel from your local DPD Pickup Shop
    • Upgrade delivery to before 10:30, before 12, afternoon or a Saturday or Sunday

    These options can be managed either via the DPD Local website using your tracking reference or via the Your DPD app available for free from the App Store and Google Play. Fees may apply for some alterations which are paid directly to DPD Group.

    Whilst we do our utmost to ensure the efficient dispatch and delivery of your order, all of the above services are estimated delivery times.

    Delivery Instructions

    Please ensure your delivery details are correct at time of order, during checkout, there is an option to enter any special instructions (keep these brief as they are printed on to the labels and these can only display up to 50 characters including spaces) such as safe places or gate codes etc, please note however that services and deliveries exceeding a £100 generally require a signature and so may disregard messages to leave the package elsewhere on the property in the absence of any recipient and signatures.

    Tracking Information

    Every package we despatch is fully traceable, once your item has been despatched from our store you will receive a despatch alert from ourselves plus for our express services you'll additional alerts when you order is out for delivery and has been successfully delivered, these notifications will be sent to your registered email address.

    Delivery of Bikes

    Delivery is FREE within England and Wales on bikes (or orders containing bikes) over £500, customers located in Scotland, Northern Ireland and other offshore isles may possibly be surcharged for delivery depending on exact location.

    All our bikes (excl. balance bikes which are usually self-builds) all come pre-assembled and shipped in custom-made bike boxes allowing them to be despatched requiring just a few tweaks from you upon receiving the bike such as fitting pedals. We aim to ship all our bikes in stock that same day if ordered before lunchtime on during weekdays.

    Please note that any bikes being ordered and paid for using any of our flexible finance options will be delivered via a secured 48h freight courier, deliverable only to the address on the finance agreement.

    UK Remote Regions

    The vast majority of our orders are delivered using our Royal Mail Economy service which is FREE throughout the whole of the United Kingdom however regrettably there are a few products we stock such as larger items which require a courier to deliver them, in this case, there is a remote region surcharge for the following postcodes; IV, HS, KA, KW, PA, PH, PH, ZE, BT, IM, TR, JE and GY. Customers located in these postcodes will be filtered upon postcode entry and the shown the delivery charges applicable to their postcode, regrettably, we offer no next day services to the postcodes listed above.

    BFPO/PO BOX Addresses

    Regretfully we're unable to ship to BFPO/PO BOX addresses, orders made for delivery to BFPO or PO BOX addresses will be shipped to the billing address or cancelled.

    International Deliveries

    We're able to deliver small packages to a range of European countries, please select your country in the selection box below for pricing and delivery time estimates.

    Returns

    We have always wanted our customers to be 100% satisfied with their purchases from us here at Scotby Cycles however in the event that you aren’t then please feel free to return your goods within 28-days of the receiving date for a refund or exchange were possible. Any item (excluding food and underwear) can be returned to us for any reason provided it is returned in a safe, resalable condition with its original packaging, tags and a correctly completed returns form.

    3-Step Returns Process

    You have 28-days from the recorded delivery date of the goods to cancel your contract and return the goods to us.

    1. Complete the returns form which was included with your order and enclose with the goods you are wanting to return. It's important that this form is completed correctly as we use the information provided to identify returned goods when they arrive back in our store.
    2. Post your return back to us by whichever means you find most convenient, we advise you use a tracked service and retain the proof of shipping receipt.
    3. Once we have received your return we will within seven days of receipt action the return and your original payment refunded in accordance with our terms and conditions outlined below.

    Incorrect or Damaged Goods

    Unfortunately, although quite rare mistakes by ourselves or our delivery partners sometimes do happen however if something does go wrong with your order we will resolve your issues quickly and with minimum inconvenience for you. Please notify us by email within seven days of receipt by emailing support@scotbycycles.co.uk and including your order reference, details of the problem you have encountered and photos if possible should the enquiry be concern damaged goods.

    Warranties

    The vast majority of the goods we sell are covered by a full 12 months' manufacturer's warranty which is honoured to the original owner, please contact us if you have any possible warranty related issues prior to sending anything back to us.

    Please ensure in the interests of hygiene if you return your item of clothing for a warranty that it has been cleaned beforehand - it's only fair to our staff and the staff of the garment manufacturer who will look after your warranty request. Any heavily soiled items returned to us will simply not be processed and you will be entirely responsible for collecting the item from our store here in Carlisle.

    Excluded Products

    Products excluded from the policy are generally items which have been customised specifically for you and items in which personal hygiene is an issue such as under layers and underwear.

    Terms and Conditions

    1. Please see above for products excluded from this policy.
    2. If you're unhappy with your purchase and would like to make a return you must inform us within 28-days of receipt of the goods.
    3. It's important that any unwanted item, unless faulty, is returned in a re-saleable condition.
      1. We'd expect this to mean that you've kept all original packaging and labels and that it's undamaged and unused, do not affix any labels or tape to the goods original packing.
      2. Ensure that any returned goods as safe for others to purchase, for instance, the ensured absence of any domestic pet hairs on returned goods.
      3. In the circumstance when goods returned have been used or are no longer in a resalable condition, we may make a deduction from the reimbursement for loss in value of any goods supplied or reject the returned goods outright if the loss is the result of unnecessary handling by you.
    4. In accordance with the Consumer Contracts (formerly Distance Selling) regulations, we'll refund any original delivery charges you've paid if you return an entire order at our standard carriage rate.
      1. Applies to domestic (UK) orders only.
      2. Our standard carriage rate is defined as the lowest offered price for shipping to your location.
      3. We will make the reimbursement no later than seven days after the day we receive back from you any goods supplied.
    5. To exercise the right to cancel, simply complete our enclosed returns form (you can download additional copies from this page) and return the unwanted goods to us no later than 28-days after initially receiving of those unwanted goods.
      1. This date is based on the date the courier responsible for delivering the goods reports that the order has been successfully delivered.
    6. We check the returned goods and refund your original order using the method for the amount in relation to goods to which the return request applies minus any express/premium delivery charges.
    7. We will action your exchange or reimbursement no later than seven days after the day we receive back from you any goods supplied.
    8. Any customer reward points accrued through the original sale of the returned item will be deducted from your customer rewards balance.
      1. If you have already redeemed your points balance on another order we reserve the right to deduct the monetary value of those points from your overall refund total.
    9. Any goods returned after the 28-day acceptance period may be accepted at our discretion with any refunds issued through gift vouchers redeemable both via our website and retail store.

    Click & Collect

    Our Click & Collect service offers all the benefits of shopping online combined with specialist personal retail experience in our store. Simply order your items, select Click & Collect and pick up your item at a time that's convenient for you. Best of all the service is completely FREE when collecting from our retail store here in Carlisle.

    Optionally, you can have your order shipped to your nearest DPD Pickup location for convenient collection for a small fee – please read the section below about our DPD Pickup options.

    How to use Click & Collect at Scotby Cycles

    1. Add your items to your basket

    Use our website to browse our catalogue of products with stock availability. When you find the item or items you want simply add it to your basket like you usually would.

    2. Checkout using Click & Collect

    Scroll down and choose Click & Collect as your delivery method. Enter your postcode at the checkout to work out the distance between you and our store here in Carlisle.

    If this distance is too far then not to worry, you can either opt to collect your order from a DPD Pickup point instead or you can navigate back using your browser's back button until you return to the delivery selection method and then select United Kingdom to proceed as normal – we offer a FREE economy delivery service for orders over a set value, please check our delivery information page for more details.

    3. Paying for your Click & Collect order

    For orders being collected from our store we don’t take payment but rather charge you when you come to collect your item(s), for customers opting for DPD Pickup you’ll be billed as you would for any normal online order.

    DPD Pickup

    DPD Pickup allows you to collect your Scotby Cycles order from any one of 1,000’s of DPD Pickup points throughout the UK, we’ll ship your order on an overnight service with DPD for delivery to your selected Pickup site and once your order is ready for collection DPD will email you a barcode and collection locale details for you to collect your order.

    You can find your nearest DPD Pickup site either by clicking here or during the Click & Collect phase of our checkout.

    Important Notes

    • DPD Pickup is applicable only to smaller items such as clothing, accessories or helmets etc, we cannot ship larger items such as Turbo Trainers or Bikes to DPD Pickup stores.
    • Whilst there is a charge for DPD Pickup there might be additional surcharges for delivery to customers located outside what is generally considered the UK mainland.
    • Packages are available for collection for a set period, generally five working days but this varies from location to location – please note the period stated on the communications sent to you by DPD for when your package is ready for collection.

    Orders being paid for using any of our finance options cannot be collected from a DPD Pickup location.

    Frequently Asked Questions

    When can I collect my order?

    For items in stock here at our Carlisle store and are being collected from our store (click here for directions) then we will normally have your item ready to collect within a working day. For items being collected from a chosen DPD Pickup site we aim to dispatch Pickup orders placed by 15:30 that same working day for collection the following working day.

    For items which are at stored in our supplier warehouses your order will be ready to collect in the time indicated; typically, this is three working days but please call in advance if you are making a long journey, just in case!

    How will I know when my order is ready?

    We will send you an email to let you know when your order is ready to collect. For customers using our DPD Pickup service you will receive an email or SMS from DPD to let you know your order has arrived and is ready for collection at your convenience.

    What do I need to collect my order?

    Generally, just let a member of staff know you are here to collect an order, ideally please bring with you your confirmation e-mail so we can look up the order in our systems.

    We will hold your order in store for one week however if you have any problems with getting to our store to collect your order please feel free to contact us and we will happily extend this time where possible.

    Can someone else collect my order?

    Yes, but please remember that orders being collected from our store need to be paid for in person in store – we cannot accept payments over the phone.

    DPD don’t mind who collects the order but they do require the individual collecting the order to bring with them proof of ID (i.e. passport, driving licence) along with the barcode they’ll send you via email or via the DPD app - this barcode is scanned to confirm collection so its important.

    How do I cancel/change my order?

    If you wish to cancel your order or make any changes please contact us, contact information can be found here or you can reply to your order conformation. Once DPD Pickup orders are dispatched we cannot cancel them, but they will eventually be returned to us if they are not collected, we’ll then cancel the order refunding the original payment minus charges for shipping and return.
