    Cycling Shorts, Pants and Tights

We’ve placed all our legwear into one department here at Scotby Cycles, which can include a wide range of types beit a pair of regular cycling shorts, Bibshorts, Bibknickers or Bibtights each with their own characteristics. Because cycling is predominantly a sport which demands physical exertion from the leg muscles many riders prefer to have their legs uncovered and open to the air to keep them cool and comfortable rather them enclose them in pants.

Cycling pants are a bit of a speciality article of clothing, they tend to be anatomically cut so that they are much more comfortably on a bike than they are off. Mostly pants are worn by mountain bikers who are looking for additional protection from the fauna and flora on cooler days as they blast down trails but some are simply waterproof “overpants” which are popular with commuters as they are worn over a regular set of pants and keep them dry.
