After a successful release of their TT, Velo and Velo 4S tyre. Pirelli has now moved into the ever-evolving tubeless market with their Cinturato Velo.
At the heart of their new tubeless tyre is Pirelli’s SmartNet Silica rubber offering superb grip and durability now combined with Armour Tech, making the Cinturato perfect for long-distance riding, training or for various terrains thanks to its 35mm size offering.
Armour tech construction merges a bead-to-bead nylon layer with an aramid breaker and aramid fibres in the tread. This results in a new level of puncture protection against the worst road conditions; thanks to aramids high cut and abrasion resistance along-side being lightweight and flexibility it maintains an efficient rolling resistance.
The TLR (tubeless) construction is specifically designed to be matched with tubeless rims. This doesn’t stop you running tubes thought Pirelli has worked a fine balance of bead shapes to allow mounting of tubes whilst maintaining proper tubeless bead engagement.
A supple 127tpi casing features Pirelli’s Functional Groove and Ideal Contour Shaping technologies like the rest of their road range. The casing is specifically designed to offer the perfect shape for optimal footprint whilst guaranteeing a smooth rolling feel. Fictional grooves found on the top of the tread inspired by motor racing disperses water quickly whilst offering maximum contact with the road.
If you are after a reliable, durable and efficient tubeless ready option then the Cinturato is the perfect option for you.
