Here at Scotby Cycles our fully equipped workshop is open six days a week, Monday through Saturday and there will always be one or more experienced CYTECH qualified bicycle mechanics on hand for emergency repairs.
We’re able to handle bikes of any kind from full suspension mountain bikes, road bikes with electronic shifting systems and even eBikes. Bought a new bike online from another retailer which you’ve built yourself or a second-hand bike on Facebook? Our £60 safety check will go over the whole bike including the brakes and gears for any initial bedding in” and make minor re-adjustments where needed to ensure your new bike gives you optimum performance.
This safety check is FREE of charge for all bikes purchased or collected from us through our retail store within six-weeks of purchase.
Our MOT Service is to make sure your bike running safely and smoothly. For the average user we recommend this comprehensive check over of your bike. If parts require replacing you will be advised of what is needed before any work is carried out.

Standard Service Plus
If a major part if failing on your bike and requires replacement this is likely the service you need, if fills the gap between our Standard Service described above and the Premium Service detailed below.

When you use your bike a lot or it gets “heavy treatment” this is the service your bike needs. Your bike is getting serious work carried out together with major parts being replaced. When you get your bike back after our Premium Service you’ll immediately notice how good it rides. This service provided everything carried out in both our MOT and Standard Service levels plus any number of the following tasks.

Full Overhaul Service
This is a full strip down and overhaul of your bike, everything that needs repaired is repaired unless instructed otherwise. Your bike is also treated with our transforming “Rozone” clean. This is the ultimate “Love my Bike” service!
This service provided everything carried out in all our aforementioned service levels plus any number of the following tasks.

- Removing seized parts (if possible)
- Detailed Rozone clean
- Frame and fork polish
|* Suspension forks and shocks will all be sent away to their respective manufacturer for service by professionals who handle only suspension technology using original manufacturer spares, additional shipping and replacement parts charges may apply.|
eBike Service Extra
Electronics and hard to remove parts add another dimension to eBike servicing so when you book your eBike in for servicing we add the ‘eBike Service Extra’ charge to any of the above service levels. Our eBike Basic Service is to repair all the non-electrical repairs required on your eBike although we do cover minor “e” repairs including battery replacement, re-joining broken cables, replacing a tyre or tube on a motor wheel, replace fuses etc however specific eBike repair work is charged separately.
