The Merida Crossway 100 is the perfect blend of comfort, enjoyment and all-around practicality, suitable for leisure rides or commuting. Merida base all disc brake models around the same lightweight aluminium frame with an urban look, the steep sloping top tube provides plenty of standover height. The Crossway range can be equipped with mudguards, racks and kickstands for ultimate adaptability.
Hydraulic Disc Brakes
The new Crossway features powerful and easy to modulate hydraulic disc brakes, hydraulic disc brakes offer great stopping power in any weather, are more or less maintenance-free and are not affected by rough or kinked cables.
All Crossway models have the ability to add mudguards, making them more versatile, particularly when used as a training or commuting bike. The removable seat stay bridge stays in place to securely hold the rear mudguard or gets removed for a cleaner look and improved mud clearance.
All Merida Crossway models are equipped with suspension forks to iron out any surface bumps. Adjustable ahead stems and suspension seat posts are also fitted on most SPEED models, providing extra comfort and an adjustable riding position. The sportier TFS models feature a regular seat post and stem to reduce weight.
Sometimes called ‘double pass welding’, a second pass over the weld gives a clean organic look to the frame. At first glance, you will be convinced it is carbon.
Internal Cable Routing
Cables are routed through the frame, entering and exiting through smooth sockets. The bike looks neat, whilst the cables are protected from moisture and dirt.
Merida's X-Tapered headtube offers the space for a tapered fork to be fitted. Tapered forks offer superb stiffness and precision and deliver confidence-inspiring steering.
Down Tube Exit
Ensures that internally routed cables and wires can’t move freely and remain easily accessible for servicing.
TFS - Techno Forming System
Technoforming is a mechanical forming process, shaping the tubes by using negative moulds, at times combined with internal metalcore.
Race Lite 61 Aluminium
Merida uses a minimum of 6061 aluminium. The payback is that it’s possible to make lighter and more advanced frames by using additional heat treatment and double-butted wall thicknesses to produce light and stiff frames.
Silk Titanium (P-M590)
TFS - 6061 series double butted and techno formed aluminium tubing with new 'urban' look and internal cable routing. Tapered head tube for confidence-inspiring handling. Equipped with mounts for rack, mudguards and kickstand.
