The introduction of the C13 into the Cambium Collection back in 2016 was welcomed by cyclists who wanted an immediately comfortable and durable saddle as found in the Cambium range, but without the weight of steel rails, Brooks responded to the call and introduced the C13, the first Cambium saddle with lightweight carbon fibre rails saving up to 150g yet retained the vulcanised natural rubber which made the range so appealing.
Fast forward to 2019 and Brooks have updated the C13 with their All-Weather nylon top replacing the organic cotton tops used on standard Cambium saddles, waterproof, weatherproof nylon cover is made to perform flawlessly in all conditions.this from freezing rain to blazing sunshine.
Finished with aluminium rivets in a stealthy black or trendy off-white then tested around the Arenberg Forest by David Millar, former pro cyclist who also knows a thing or two about looking good on a bike.
The secret to the C13's weight loss is a unique and highly visible continuous carbon fibre rail which eliminates any contact points which would otherwise incur performance resistance or worse still be a weak point in the saddles structure.
The construction of Cambium Saddles works like a hammock and delivers immediate comfort while absorbing vibration and shock, performance traditionally found only with natural leather saddles.
Cambium Saddles are designed to be ready for use out of the box, requiring no initial care or ongoing maintenance.
BUILT FOR LIFE
The Cambium is assembled from replaceable parts and requires no special tools for servicing. The vulcanised rubber top is practically indestructible; should your Cambium frame sustain any serious structural damage, repairs can be quickly and easily accomplished by you, or by your trusted Brooks Dealer.
