The new Five Ten Freerider PrimeBlue is the classic Freerider but constructed partly using PrimeBlue, a material created using upcycled Parley Ocean Plastic™ recovered from beaches and other costal environments which is both as durable as those used for the regular Freerider but also environmentally friendly.

Asides from the new PrimeBlue materials, the Freerider PrimeBlue is still a BMX inspired mountain biking shoe at heart, designed to make the transition between downhill to trail centre rides.

With its comfortable fit, breathable action leather and mesh upper, supportive midsole and high-friction STEALTH® Freerider Dotty tread outsole combine to make this your do everything, everyday shoe.

STEALTH® S1™ outsoles are without a doubt the preferred compound for hiking and mountain biking shoes thanks to its unique capacity to absorb far more shock than traditional rubber outsoles whilst its high friction properties offer a balance between grip and durability which makes the S1™ compound highly versatile.

Recommended Use

The Freerider PrimeBlue is an ideal all-round model, ideal for aggressive all-mountain riding, the Freerider PrimeBlue, with STEALTH® S1™ has excellent cushioning, shock absorption and durability.

Model Highlights

  • STEALTH® S1™ dotty rubber outsole for unbeatable grip
  • Cup Sole for uncompromised durability
  • Classic Dotty Pattern

PrimeBlue

PrimeBlue is a high-performance recycled material made in part with Parley Ocean Plastic™ which is created using upcycled plastic waste such as PET bottles and packaging, intercepted on remote islands, beaches, coastal communities and shorelines, preventing it from polluting our oceans which inevitably it would do so without such intervention.

adidas Five Ten is using the material in leu of virgin plastics which would otherwise be used in the manufacture of its products.

You can learn more about the Parley project by visiting their website or support them by choosing this or other Five Ten models constructed using PrimeBlue materials.

Fitting Advice

The sizing for Five Ten shoes has shifted over the past few years, historically the shoes were famous for being quite roomy so riders would often size down. However, the later models such as anything with Pro in the name feature a more athletic, a narrower, closer fit for performance.

We'd recommend you follow the sizing advice below, testing a range of models in the office (a member of staff, typically wears a UK 10/Euro 44 and a 280mm foot length) always opted for UK 9.5 with the exception for the Freerider Pro, Impact Pro and Trailcross ranges for which he sized up to a UK 10.

Measuring Tips

Five Ten Shoe Sizing Five Ten Shoe Sizing Five Ten Shoe Sizing
  1. Place a piece of paper on a hard floor with one end of the wall, stand on the piece of paper (wearing socks) with the heel slightly touching the wall.
  2. Mark the end of your longest toe with a pencil for both feet, it's easier if you let someone help you with this.
  3. Measure your marking from the wall (heel) to the longest toe for both feet, take the larger of the foot lengths and compare it with the sizing chart above to work out your ideal Five Ten shoe size.

Remote Regions

You might have noticed a lot of our services are limited to MAINLAND UK, sadly this is because both our couriers either do not offer services to these regions or they charge surcharges to offer any service at all which we cannot absorb into our costs.

The good news is that for the time being at least the Royal Mail is bound by universal service so no matter where in the UK you live, if your order can be shipped with a Royal Mail service then we can offer this as we would for the rest of the country. Note however that the Royal Mail do have clauses to exclude remote regions from their delivery guarantees for Special Delivery® services.

Easy Returns

If an item doesn't fit or isn't quite what you expected then simply fill out the enclosed returns form and return your unwanted items to us within 28 days for a full refund, we'll accept orders returned to us after this period with refunds made via gift vouchers for use against future orders. Unfortunately, we're unable to cover the costs of returning items to us.

For further information please see our Refund Policy for further details.

Stock Availability

Unlike our competitors, many of which don't have a considerable proportion of the products they list online available in stock in their own warehouses, these stores depend on suppliers being able to provide products quickly on demand which in these trying times is a bit of a gamble.

For this reason, we now only sell products we have in stock and know we can provide rather than just 'SIM' feeding product availability from suppliers.

Secure Delivery

For security purposes, we reserve the right to cancel shipments to forwarding centres, PO Boxes, and locker boxes. For some items such as bikes and electric scooters, these can only be delivered to the billing address, no change of address or in-transit redirection is permitted for any consignments.

Bike Delivery

Shipping is FREE of charge on bikes (or orders containing bikes) over £499 within Mainland UK - services are available for remote UK regions, see the chart above for details.

We aim to have all the bikes we stock pre-built and available for immediate purchase online and for in-store collection, once you have ordered a bike from us one of our fully trained Cytech mechanics will package your bike into one of our custom-built boxes.

These extra-large boxes allow us to ship most bikes fully assembled but before we do so our mechanics will carry out a PDI (pre-delivery inspection) on the bike to ensure that before it's prepared for shipping everything is set up correctly, e.g., brakes, gear indexing etc.

Upon receiving your bike, you will simply need to take your new bike out of the box, turn and tighten the handlebars and fit one of the pedals (if your bike comes with pedals). In some instances, such as for road bikes, you may also need to attach the handlebars as they're too wide to simply be rotated so they'll be secured to the side of the frame with zip ties.
