Atrack 35 Backpack
The first waterproof backpack that opens like a travel bag offers a new level of convenience for your outdoor adventures and short trips!
Anyone who’s ever faced the task of having to quickly locate a particular item in the depths of a backpack will love the new ORTLIEB Atrack!
The Atrack outdoor backpack zippers open like a suitcase, greatly simplifying your packing logistics by giving you an at-a-glance overview of – and immediate access to – the individual items in your pack. You can also set the Atrack down on its front side to keep the harness system clean and dry.
The Atrack not only spares you the inconvenient rummaging through your backpack, but it also allows you to do without a rain cover. No matter whether you get caught in a downpour or have to swim through a river, your gear will remain absolutely dry! This is because the pack’s PVC-free nylon material and TIZIP zipper are 100% waterproof. By the way, the zipper is located on the side that contacts your back, which also protects against theft in a crowd.
The ingenious design of the active-travel backpack gives you maximum functionality when you’re out trekking, biking, ski-touring, canoeing, or rising to meet any other challenge in the great outdoors. The Atrack also feels right in the city and accompanies you faithfully as a streamlined pack for short trips. The Atrack comes in three sizes, three colours and an extensive range of accessories so that you can quickly customize it to your every adventure. Choose your favourite and start your story!

IP Ratings Explanation
IP Ratings or Ingress Protection Ratings is an internationally recognised means of rating products of various types in terms of their capacity to prevent dust or liquids from engrossing into them or through them, pretty much all of ORTLIEB’s products bare an IP rating.
The tl;dr as possible explanation is as follows;
The first digit represents the products resistance to dust with ratings ratings above 4 being resistant to anything larger than 1mm and ratings of 5 and 6 being pretty much impenetrable.
The second digit represents the products resistance to liquids, this rating is slightly more complicated than first as aspects such as the pressure of the water being sprayed onto the product and the angle matter.
A rating of 3 means the product can handle sprays of water hitting it within 60 degrees from vertical (basically, this isn’t a problem unless you plan on riding through a typhoon or on a normal summers day here in the Lake District), ratings 4 and above can handle water hitting it from any direction.
Products which bare a rating of 7 (such as some of the BikePacking and Attack products) are the Andy McNab’s of the scale as they’ll handle high pressure water jets from any direction and submersion up to 1 meter in depth.
It’s worth noting that to achieve these ratings, products must be property closed and in some cases with bags which feature roll closures a number of roles are required - each product such have a PDF data sheet available which may detail ORTLIEB’s requirements to achieve the IP rating they’ve been awarded.ClosureTIZIPFabricsPS33Volume35 litresWeight1.470 kgHeight59 cmDepth27 cmWidth28 cm
